KGB jokes

Guide Eve has shared some local occupation(al) humor:

Why is the tallest building in Riga the KGB building, even though it's only 5 stories high?
--You can see Siberia from there.

The Intourist hotel (where during Soviet times all foreigners had to stay) in Tallinn is made out of a special new material, "microconcrete."
--Half concrete, half microphones.

Eve's mother was a tour guide in Soviet times, when KGB minders accompanied all foreign groups. One day on a tour she was asked about the new Intourist hotel being built, how long it had been under construction?
-- About 10 years.
When will it be finished?
--In about 10 years.
The KGB minder took her aside and told her she must not say such negative things, that in the Soviet Union everything is the fastest, the biggest, the best.
So the next time a visitor asked her the same questions, she replied:
"What building? It wasn't there yesterday!"

After that she could no longer be a tour guide and could not leave the country.
